Best Time to Post on Facebook

by Admin

When is The Best Time to Post?

What is the best time to post on Facebook? The answer is probably not exactly what you wanted to hear. The best time to post depends many factors like the type of content, what else is happening in your marketing strategy (is there an email campaign that’s part of the sales funnel?) First, assuming you are the admin for a Facebook page, take a look at your Facebook statistics. The stats are called “Facebook Insights.” Data from Insights and your analytics platform (like Google Analytics) will help you understand when the best time to post is.

If you are just beginning to post to a Facebook page and don’t have much history to work with, then you will be just guessing when the best posting times are. That’s fine because you need to have some activity on the page in order to collect data on user behavior. It will take a bit of experimentation, but after there are some posts to a Facebook business page, user data will be populated and begin to show patterns in make sense in Insights. Facebook admins will be able to see what is the best day of week to post and when the best time of day is as well.

Most Facebook accounts show a pattern to user behavior. You will see that there is an optimum time of day to post. It does tend to be in the evening hours. However, it is important to note that the time of day is shown in the time zone the page is set to. Look at your user demographics and the countries they reside in. If your page has a lot of offshore users that may be an issue. If your target audience lives in another country and these are many of your followers, then that is acceptable. If you are a domestic company targeting only followers in your home country or people in your locality, and your followers are elsewhere, that indicates a problem. T could mean the followers were bought or incentivized. This can result in low engagement for posts, regardless of best time of day or proper content.

This video takes you on a short tour of Facebook Insights so you can understand when your viewers are online. Posting when they are active helps build up a following and get more traffic to your website, posts, product, or service.

I also have a Best Time to Post on Instagram” video on the metrony.com YouTube channell, for those interested in connecting with an audience that is younger than those that use Facebook.

Making money from a side hustle involves mastering a topic, or taking something you know a lot about, even if it is a hobby and selling the idea, service or product to others. Starting online is one of the lease expensive ways to do that!

The first step to making money online is to come up with an idea. Working with something you love is ideal, but it important to do some market research and find out if your idea is something that can earn money. The ultimate online generators are virtual products, like eBooks or online courses, that have no overhead. The sales funnel of online educational materials can be automated. You will have to invest in creating the material in the form of books, videos, and downloads. You will also have to work on setting up the sales funnel including emails, landing pages, and possible paid ads. After you must work on maintaining the system and updating content.

An online revenue generator should also maintain a social media presence to obtain more leads. If you want to be hands off, then you’ll have to hire an assistant to help.
If your product or service is not virtual and needs to be shipped, then that of course requires more investment in inventory and warehousing. The website will be part (or all) of the lead generation for sales.

How to Post Video to Your LinkedIn Newsfeed

How to Post Video to Your LinkedIn Newsfeed

LinkedIn has lagged behind other social channels in many features and updates. One of these was allowing videos to be hosted natively on the site. Up until now, users could not post a video directly to LinkedIn – it had to be shared from another video hosting site. LinkedIn engineering added a new feature and users can now host a video directly on their own newsfeed.

Since Microsoft acquired LinkedIn we’ve seen more than a few changes to the site. One of the most notable was the change to the privacy policy and who can see users’ posts. Posts are seen by other LinkedIn users, but they may also be seen by non-members as well.

The next major improvement is video hosting to share content on LinkedIn. Previously, LinkedIn users could only share a video from other video hosting channels like YouTube or Vimeo. Videos can be posted directly from the app but not from the desktop website. The only thing needed to post videos is an updated version of the LinkedIn mobile app.

Videos are one of the best ways to convey a message. They can be used to make a personal connection, demonstrate a product, or talk directly to potential consumers. LinkedIn has over 500 million users. It’s a unique business-oriented social media channel.
.

LinkedIn videos can be recorded from a smartphone or other mobile device that has the app downloaded. Posted videos are not “live” like they can be on other social channels like Facebook or Instagram. Before the video is posted, users have the chance to back out and try again. There is also an opportunity to add some text to the post and describe what the video is about.

The LinkedIn app now allows users to post a video directly to a user’s LinkedIn newsfeed. IN the past LinkedIn only allowed users to share a video from another video sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo. Learn how to post a video to LinkedIn. Follow to steps in the video and you’ll find it is rather easy to do. I have more video on LinkedIn. See the links below for more LinkedIn tutorials.

How to Get More LinkedIn Connections

LinkedIn, when used correctly and professionally, can lead to new business connections. If you want to meet new people and make more connections on LinkedIn, then there are a few steps to making sure your profile is updated and discoverable online. Recently, I made a vide on privacy settings. Completing or updating your profile, and changing privacy settings can help you make new connections or find a new job! Some of these settings may interfere with the you must make your profile more visible There are a few data points in the privacy section of a LinkedIn profile that make it easier for other users to find you and make a connection.

LinkedIn.com is a business-oriented social network with more than 500 million users from over 200 countries. The site was acquired by Microsoft in 2017 and has slowly been making improvements to profiles and features.

Find out how to get more LinkedIn Connections. There are a few settings changes to make to make your LinkedIn profile more discoverable. It only takes a few minutes of checking into your privacy settings. Make sure your email and phone number are saved in LinkedIn. Next, make sure they can be used to discover your profile. By enabling these settings other users are able to find your profile more easily on LinkedIn. These are three simple areas too visit and possibly enable under the privacy tab to make your profile more discoverable. They are:

  • Email
  • Organization
  • Phone number

Allow other users to find you profile using your email address. All profiles already have an associated email address. Email addresses are used to login or reset the account passwords. It’s also the email where notifications are sent to. In addition, You can choose whether to allow other LinkedIn users to connect with you using this email address. Maybe you ‘ve noticed the prompt from the LinkedIn app asking you to allow it to access your contacts and find your friends or business contacts on LinkedIn. Unless you allow access to the email address associated with your account, other users won’t be able to use their address books to find you. They also won’t be able to find you via an email search.

LinkedIn also allows you to enter in multiple email addresses that you are associated with. Many people have multiple email addresses – one for work, one for personal use, and maybe others for the organization they belong to.

Your phone number is also a data point that other LinkedIn users can use to connect with you. I have a phone number in my profile for authentication and account security.

The last one is your employer or organization you belong to and have listed in your profile. Other LinkedIn users can connect with you based on where you work. Like email address and phone number, users can use a company names or volunteer organizational names to connect. If you choose not to allow this, other users can still go to that company’s LinkedIn page, see who is an employee, and send a connection that manually

How to Edit Facebook Privacy Settings

by Admin

How to Edit Your Facebook Privacy Settings

It is important to check on your Facebook settings and make sure the information you want to be private, stays private! Although you can hide information from the public, you cannot hide from Facebook itself! Facebook mines data to sell it anonymously to advertisers too. Facebook can predict what you like based on your activity on the social media channel.

To edit your Facebook privacy settings, go to:
https://www.facebook.com/settings

On the mobile app tap the mobile menu in the upper right corner of the app, scroll all the way down and tap Account Settings. Then select Privacy.

I limit who can see my posts and photos to those who are Facebook friends with me. That means, the general public cannot see my photos. This does cause some inconvenient limitations. For example, if I post a work photo on my personal Facebook, I cannot share it to my brand’s page.

I also recommend setting who can send you friend requests. On LinkedIn, I’m wide open. I let anyone send me a connection because that’s a business-to-business networking channel. My Facebook profile is private. Although I am friends with many of my clients and vendors, that’s because we are truly friends! I do have a Facebook public figure page for business “friends.” Which is open to the public.

There are other reasons for limiting who sees your information on Facebook. Personal information can be used in social engineering cyber attacks. Although things such as hometown, schools you attended, and birthday can help you find friends and connect, they can also be used in social engineering attacks. Kids names, the names of your pets, and hometown are the common password reset questions! If your email is exposed on Facebook or LinkedIn, then this is all a good start at hacking into your email account and then resetting a password to something more valuable like a bank account or credit card!
