Facebook introduces shared photo albums
Late in August Facebook introduced shared photo albums. This feature makes it easier for friends to share their photos in one album. Before now, Facebook users had to surf the social networking site to look for pictures even they all attended the same event. With shared albums you can invite others to add their photos to your album.
The creator of the album is the “owner” The friends that the owner invites are “contributors.” Album owners can adjust the privacy settings of the album. Contributors cannot change privacy settings but can add, view and edit photos. This feature is only available to personal accounts at this time but would make a great business tool!
Keep in mind that anyone tagged in the photos and their friends may be able to view the album as well.
