Giving Tuesday is more than just a single day. It is a new beginning and a way to jump start awareness for charities in your hometown and all over the world. Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 and occurs the first Tuesday in December following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Remember philanthropy comes in many forms and is not just for the ultra-wealthy. Giving can take many includes donating your time, lesson, goods, services and of course money.
My charity of choice is KindQuilts which is a start-up nonprofit* that improves lives by donating quilts to sick and injured children. We use monetary donations to purchase fabric for volunteer quilters who assemble new quilts which we distribute to hospitals. Visit the website to see how you can help!
If you don’t have a charity in mind visit Giving Tuesday’s website and find a United Nations Development Program (UNDP)
