One of the steps in reputation monitoring was to designate a dedicated social media listener. Below are 6 tools to help that listener monitor your brand’s online reputation.
HootSuite – HootSuite is an essential tool for managing social networks. Schedule messages across multiple social networks. users can see news feeds, mentions, direct messages as well as sent messages. There is a free and paid version. Programmable scheduled reports allows users to analyze traffic and strategy.
Social Mention – Social Mention is a social media search engine that aggregates user generated content from social media networks plus blogs, comments, bookmarks, events, news, videos including: Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, YouTube, Digg, Google in real time.
Google Alerts is a simple email alert service for news stories and general web mentions, extracted from a customized search query. Updates of the latest relevant Google search results are emailed to your inbox or sent as a web feed. Searches are based on your queries. The web feed version is currently delivered via Google Reader which will not be available after July 2013.
SocialBro – SocialBro is a Twitter management tool that allows you to manage followers, friends, tweet frequency. The apart I use most is the new followers and who followed me section. SocialBro is a available as a Chrome extension or app. The paid version is available as a cloud service. The paid version has a lot of nice upgrades like multiple logins and pdf reports.
Google Analytics or simply ‘Analytics” provides tracking for organic and paid search campaigns. It can track traffic to your website or blog via the Traffic Sources > Overview > Sources section of Analytics. Another data view provides inbound and landing page metrics for social networks only. Social > Overview > Network Referrals. Google Analytics offers flexible and schedule reporting and real time data.
TweetDeck is another Twitter management tool that allows users to view your timeline, interactions and direct messages in real time. Tweetdeck is basically Twitter for Twitter is a much easier way to manage direct messages. Activity can be filtered to narrow down the stream of results. It is available as a downloadable app or Chrome extension.
Facebook Insights provides metrics about your Facebook Page’s performance. It is not available for personal accounts. Anonymized data about your reach, viral reach and likes is show on a line graph. A nice feature of Insights is that it can be exported in .csv or .xls format. A page needs to have 30 likes to start seeing insights.
